I've been there... I had my sisterlocks installed, and my stylist (rest her soul) didn't give me any styling options.... My ends were puffy. I began looking in the mirror and saying to myself: "Did I just make  big mistake with my hair and money?"
Almost 6 years later, I am still in love with my Sisterlocks!!!!
As a natural hair stylist, and as a previous sisterlock client, I ALWAYS consider the following when guiding my clients on their sisterlocks journey:1. I show them my early stage-"puffy ends" pictures (lol) so that they will have an idea of how the process works.2. I have pictures available of previous clients so that they can see the different stages of the settling in process.3. I am ALWAYS available (text or email) for any questions that my sisterlocks clients may have regarding their sisterlocks.4.  When in doubt, allow Tan to help you out!! (I know, that slogan sounds a little cheesy, lol).P.S.: I can't emphasize enough.... DO YOUR HOMEWORK when researching someone to install your sisterlocks.  I have had people tell me that there are people (charlatans) claiming to do sisterlocks in Walmart, yes, (lol) Walmart. Needless to say, there was tomfoolery afoot, to say the least.  Bottom line- if the person isn't listed on the sisterlocks website as either a registered trainee, approved trainee, or consultant- they are not the real deal.  I can guarantee you of this... if the person you paid doesn't do your hair right, the real sisterlocks representatives will charge you more to do it over again. Beware naturalistas...
